TRÂNSITO is a free, in-person LGBT+ film showcase held at Cine UFPel in Pelotas, southern Brazil, from September 20 to October 31, 2026.
The programme is divided into three sections: International, National — Brazil, and Regional — Rio Grande do Sul, bringing together local, Brazilian, and international perspectives.
Audiences will experience free public screenings, talks, debates, and cultural activities. Films not originally spoken in Portuguese will be screened with Portuguese subtitles.
Selected films will be included in the official programme, screened for a live audience at Cine UFPel, promoted through the showcase’s communication channels, and receive an official selection certificate. TRÂNSITO is a non-competitive showcase and does not offer awards.
Rules & Eligibility
All films submitted to TRÂNSITO must include LGBT+ themes as a meaningful part of their storyline, subject, or artistic approach and must be directed and/or produced by at least one LGBT+ person.
By submitting a film, the applicant confirms that they hold all necessary rights and authorizations for its exhibition. Selected films authorize TRÂNSITO to use stills, posters, trailers, excerpts, and press materials exclusively for the promotion of the showcase.
Submission implies full acceptance of these Rules & Terms.
